Denser signal
Arteries in the finger sit closer to the surface than in the wrist, so the same sensor gets a cleaner reading at lower power.
Less motion noise
A ring moves with the bone, not with the muscle. Overnight artefacts drop by an order of magnitude.
Worn through the night
Nobody sleeps in a watch by choice. Sleep data is only useful if the device is actually on.
No screen to check
The ring has no display, which is the point. It collects; the phone explains, once a day.
What it measures
Every metric is recorded continuously and stored on the ring for seven days, so a missed sync loses nothing.
Sleep stages
Deep, REM and light, derived from heart rate variability and movement rather than a single accelerometer.
Resting heart rate
A true overnight minimum, not an average of daytime samples taken while you sat still.
Skin temperature
Deviation from your own baseline, which is what matters. Absolute degrees are noise.
Blood oxygen
Overnight SpO₂ with a per-night distribution, flagged when it drops below your normal range.
Activity and steps
Steps, active minutes and effort load, with goals you set and a celebration when you hit them.
Recovery score
One number each morning, built from the four metrics above and your fourteen-day baseline.

How long does the battery last?
Seven days of continuous wear on a single charge, including overnight sleep tracking. The case holds three additional full charges, so a two-week trip needs no outlet.
Is there a subscription?
Not for the essentials. Sleep, heart rate, HRV, temperature, the morning report and data export all come with the ring, with no subscription. We may add optional paid features later; the essentials stay free.
What happens if the size is wrong?
Order the free sizing kit first and choose your size from it. If the fit is still wrong after delivery, we resize once at no cost within 30 days.
Can I get my raw data out?
Yes. You can export your data as JSON or CSV. The in-app export is on its way; until then, email support@hsring.com and we will send it to you. The data is yours.
